Activity

All business owners will be expected to keep a certain level of activity within the city to maintain ownership of their business.

Expectation of Activity

Business owners are required to maintain a minimum level of activity, which generally ranges from 6 to 12 hours per week. The specific time commitment may vary based on the extent of integration with the city. Business owners with high levels of customer traffic are typically expected to be present for longer periods.

Businesses that have a well-established management structure and a sufficient number of staff members will not necessitate the frequent presence of the owner.

Inactivity

Businesses or business owners who become inactive run the risk of having their business repossessed by the state. Inactivity is assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Infrequent availability or opening of the business by the owner or employees.

  • Lack of presence by business owners in the city.

After a period of 14 days of inactivity, the business will be repossessed.
